Woodturner Artists

Woodturner Artists

THANK YOU WOODTURNERS!

Beads of Courage is proud to be a partner in caring with the American Association of Woodturners (AAW).

THE CHILDREN AND TEENS WE SUPPORT find encouragement in a whole new way by receiving handcrafted lidded bowls donated by members of the AAW. Your gifts are sacred vessels that bring a sense of joy to their hearts while holding their beads that honor their strength and courage while coping with cancer and other serious illness.

DONATING IS EASY…

Before you make and donate your bowls, please review the information below. Please review all donation guidelines and register with us.

Two Ways To Donate Your Handmade Bowls

  1. Mail your donated bowls directly to: Beads of Courage, Inc. 3301 N. 1st Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85719
  2. Contact Beads of Courage at Programs@beadsofcourage.org to see if our partner hospitals in your area can accept* your gift.

*If a hospital cannot accept, we will ask you to please mail directly to Beads of Courage. Please allow Beads of Courage to contact the hospitals on your behalf.

Questions can be directed to woodturner@beadsofcourage.org

Woodturners Artist Kits are available on our website –  includes the Beads of Courage Logo Bead that can be attached to the bowl and an Artist Card that includes your personal signature. This kit helps connect your art with our mission and our Beads of Courage members love to know who made their beautiful gift!

WE’RE ON A MISSION
To help children and teens coping with serious illness RECORD, TELL, and OWN their stories of COURAGE, using the art form of beads to symbolize their treatment journey.

FUNDRAISE TO SUPPORT
Beads of Courage, Inc. appreciates those chapters and individuals who donate or fundraise to support our mission. Donations fund the beads that children and teens are waiting for at our partner hospitals and through our Beads at Home program.

SUPPORT TO OUR AUCTIONS!

Support Beads of Courage by donating your art! We’re seeking finished pieces, sculptures, wood-turned items, and more for our annual online fundraising auctions, held each September for World Beads of Courage Day and again for the holiday season.

The Beads of Courage Woodturner Artist Hall of Fame inaugural year will be 2026! The purpose of the Hall of Fame is to recognize the contributions of woodturners in support of the mission of Beads of Courage, Inc.

The woodturner artist community is critical to the sustainability of the Beads of Courage organization. Woodturners contribute in significant ways and provide incredible service to the organization including:

• Ongoing donations of woodturned bowls for Beads of Courage Members
• Support for Beads of Courage signature fundraisers in their community with engagement of community supporters for fundraising success
• Serving as a source of significant encouragement for Beads of Courage member children and families through various organizational initiatives
• Support the awareness activities of Beads of Courage through innovative communication strategies
• Make financial or other in-kind donations that support the sustainability of the organization

Nominations for Hall of Fame candidates are accepted throughout the year by Beads of Courage, Inc., with induction of new members occurring annually.

Each Beads of Courage Hall of Fame Woodturner Artist receives an award and recognition in our Artist Gallery at BOC’s Forever Home, in Tucson, AZ.
