Pie Festival
At Beads of Courage we believe beads make the world go ’round … so join us on National Pi Day and let’s Bake the World a Better Place together!
Gather your friends and family to share some pie (hopefully using one of the yummy recipes in the BOC cookbook) and create some fun polymer clay beads for children in the Beads of Courage program.
We have 4 Pie Festival Packages to choose from; each is $40 and includes:
- Beads of Courage Cookbook: “The Art of Baking for the People You Love”
- Polymer Clay Bead-Making Kit (4 bead designs to choose from)
- All the materials you need to make 24 beads – 20 to mail back to Beads of Courage and 4 to keep
- 20 Art Cards to decorate
- 4 Courage Clips – For the 4 beads you keep
- A postage-paid return mailer to return your beads
Pre-order your Pie Festival Package before March 7 and get ready to bake for a good cause on March 14.
On Pi Day, post pics on social media of your Pie Festival gathering! Show us your bead-making activities and your pies (if you have them), using the hashtag #bocpieday. Everyone who posts a photo will be entered into a drawing for some cool prizes … because pie and beads make everyone happy!
Barb Eckhoff and Ethel Gribbon Fund
Funds raised at the Pie Festival support the Barbara Eckhoff and Ethel Gribbon fund at Beads of Courage. The fund provides food to nurture patients, families and clinicians at children’s hospitals nationwide during our arts-in-medicine workshops and training sessions.
Barb Eckhoff and Ethel Gribbon were the beloved sister and mother of Jean Gribbon, founder and executive director of Beads of Courage. They loved to bake and nurture people through delicious home-cooked food. The Memorial Fund will continue their legacy of caring for years to come.
