Beadmaking and Fundraising Events to support Beads of Courage

Our Open Studio events are family-friendly and “FREE” to attend! Come cheer on the artists that will be giving of their time and talent making one-of-a-kind beads for Beads of Courage children and teens.

What to Expect if you Attend:

You can select from a few fun activities to participate in for a donation at our Open Studio Events to support our cause:

Sponsor an artist-made bead to give to a child receiving Beads of Courage personally packaged with a signed note of encouragement from you.
Make a bracelet to keep or give to someone you know could be encouraged by a gift handmade by your loving hands.
Shop for one-of-a-kind unique artist-made items with 50% of the sale supporting Beads of Courage
Make Polymer Beads (*select open studio events)
Make a Courage Clip and learn more about why beads are important historical art forms to humans!
Additional opportunities based on each studio’s offering.

Beads of Courage has been dedicated for over 20 years to providing innovative arts-in-medicine programs for children coping with cancer and other serious illnesses, their families, and the clinicians who care for them.

For more than 14 years, Beads of Courage has formed strategic partnerships with glass art and bead-making studios across the United States to create beads for donation, fundraising, and raising awareness through Bead Challenge Open Studio Events. These events have truly inspired those who attended and participated.

This year, we aim to continue this tradition of celebrating the talent and creativity of glass bead artists, as well as the compassion of our communities, through Beads of Courage Studio Partner Open Studios. This unique partnership allows others to learn about Beads of Courage and support the courageous kids we serve through our programs.

Each BOC Studio Partner is a dedicated and knowledgeable ally in our mission, hosting Open Studio events to generate beads and funds in support of Beads of Courage.
