In Chinese astrology, 2022 is the Year of the Tiger, making this a very special year for Beads of Courage! Our Official Mascot is a tiger because these powerful animals embody many of the traits we see in our bead recipients, including courage, strength, tenacity and resilience. The tiger spirit is one of intense determination to overcome challenges. In some cultures, tigers also symbolize protection, since mother tigers are fiercely protective of their cubs.
