BEADS OF COURAGE PROGRAM SPONSOR OPPORTUNITIES
The mission of Beads of Courage is to provide innovative arts-in-medicine programs for children coping with serious illness, their families, and the clinicians who care for them. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we rely on the generous support of donors to fulfill this meaningful mission. We have an ongoing need for individual donors and corporate philanthropy to sustain and grow the programs and services we seek to provide for more than 60,000 children and families.
Every Beads of Courage Program integrates the use of beads – the earliest art form known to humans – as visible, tangible symbols of human experiences that need and deserve to be expressed. Every dollar you donate provides the opportunity for COURAGE to be honored, HOPE to be given, and JOY to be experienced. BEADS AT HOME
- You receive a special Home Bead for each child you sponsor
- The children you sponsor receive a matching Home Bead and a letter naming you as their sponsor (unless you wish to remain anonymous)

The Beads of Courage program team is made up of skilled Child Life Specialists who facilitate this program virtually extending our supportive reach all over the country. Beads of Courage is looking for donors to sponsor this opportunity. There are 12 Bead Strong Activities to sponsor, each with its own unique mantra and experience. This is a unique bead exclusive to our Beads of Courage NICU program to honor the courage of NICU families when their baby is admitted to the NICU. Annually, Beads of Courage receives requests for over 9000 of these beads – Every $1 donated to Beads of Courage makes giving a NICU Admission Bead possible.
You can be a direct source of encouragement to families in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) by sponsoring the NICU Admission Bead.

Flagship Program Sponsorship
We have over 400 Flagship programs worldwide and each year, tens of thousands of children coping with cancer and other serious illnesses receive Beads of Courage.
They count on Beads of Courage for support, empowering them to record, tell, and own their stories of courage through arts-in-medicine programs.
As a charitable organization, we count on the generous support of caring people like YOU to carry out this meaningful mission in children’s hospitals around the world.
Beads given at the bedside are spirit-lifting, which can be lifesaving in the moment. Becoming a national sponsor of our flagship program with your gift of $100,000 annually allows us to gift the program to the children and families waiting for their Beads of Courage.
National sponsors receive recognition on our website and on a program bead intention card that includes a personalized note of encouragement. This bead is given to every child enrolled in the program. We are seeking sponsors for these programs:
