From June through September, we are shining a spotlight on four amazing communities of volunteer artists and crafters who support our mission year-round with their beautiful donated goods. The handcrafted beads, bags and bowls they donate strengthen our arts-in-medicine mission and bring beauty to the bedside of kids coping with serious illness.

Each Summer ART month includes:

- Social media posts highlighting the artists and their creations throughout the month

The flagship Beads of Courage Program helps children coping with serious illness by giving them a visible and tangible way to tell their stories of courage. Every bead provides an opportunity for courage to be honored, hope to be given, and joy to be experienced. Given at the bedside, Beads of Courage are spirit-lifting, which can be lifesaving in the moment.
At Beads of Courage, we rely on the generosity of thousands of caring bead artists who donate handcrafted glass and polymer beads that are given to children for specific treatment milestones. We are also fortunate to have the support of many dedicated stitchers and woodturners who provide bead bags and bowl so children have a beautiful way to keep and carry their beads.
